Save The Date – January 22!

Leading under Changing Conditions:
Learning from the Thriving Church in the Amazon

  • How do you develop new generations of committed leaders?
  • What does it take to connect to communities with different cultures and languages?
  • Is it possible to promote a creative missional movement while at the same time holding to the main aspects of our theological identity?

Presbyterians in the Brazilian Amazon have seen close to 152 new congregations being started for a combined membership of more than 10,000 additional members during the last fifty years. On Saturday, January 22 we will have the opportunity to get to know two of the pastors that have provided leadership at the congregational and regional levels.

Rev. Francisco Chaves dos Santos, Senior Pastor, Manaus Presbyterian Church and Rev. Djard Cadaes de Moraes, Outreach Pastor, Manaus Presbyterian Church/ Presbytery Moderator will be with us.

You are invited to come and learn more about how God’s work in that part of the world may serve to motivate us in to minister within our own realties.  We will also explore specific forms of mutually beneficial forms of partnership in mission.
