We Believe: Adult Study Series                        

A series produced by PCUSA and the Geneva Press for adult study groups who want to examine some of the basic concepts of Christianity.  Each books comes with an accompanying study guide.

Believing in Jesus Christ by Leanne Van Dyk -- A clear treatment, in straightforward language, of the person and work of Jesus Christ.  The author asks what the Gospels tell us about Christ, discusses the debates that took place in the early church, and gives special attention to the nature of atonement.

Creation and Last Things by Gregory S. Cootsona  -- This book explores the subjects of the creation and the last days in light of contemporary science.  Citing prominent theologians and scientists, the author discusses the formation of the universe, the relationship of humans to their environment, and the last judgement.

The Holy Spirit by Mateen Elass -- The author provides an explanation of the identity and work of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit's relationship to the living and written word, and the Spirit's role in the church and the world.

The Trinity by Philip W. Butin  -- A scholarly examination of the nature of the Trinity, tracing the church's understanding of this doctrine from it's earliest days to modern times.

 

Push It!                                                               

A series designed by young adults for young adults who are seeking to explore and challenge the Bible.  The series encourages participants to ask critical questions and connect the Bible with their lives.

 

Letters to a Young Doubter

The author imagines a young college student who has doubts about his faith, and through a series of letters examines questions of faith, problems of life, and the challenges presented by a complex world.
